Over two and a half millennia from now...

Earth and all interplanetary cultures have been shattered. The world is a network of factions functioning on a survivalist, utilitarian infrastructure. No businesses nor stores or restaurants. At most, you may find markets, taverns, and artisans if you're not a part of an organized faction. The setting is a mix of cassette-punk, robotics and holographic laser and light displacement technology (holograms and lasers, and advanced AI).

You now live on the war torn planet, surviving with the few alliances being rebuilt from the factions which have risen from the ashes. After a massive victory for Earth, shattering the Kah'Rul's only direct link to their home planet, a massive ripple throughout the galaxy crumbled the border between dimensions, welcoming in more powers and anomalies from other realms previously thought only theoretical, if even considered in thought to begin with.

There are no cities from the past, only ruins. There are no stores, only tradesmen and guilds. There are no comforts, save for what you can make for yourself as an artisan. No internet save for direct connections from one place to another. But hey, at least there are no more businesses and stuck up receptionists. Just guards and nomads.

The Federation and Specter Initiative
The Federation - A fair and democratic revival of some form of governing system, still young and new, working to re-unite the world and supply it's sibling faction, the Specter Initiative.

The Specter Initiative - While not directly subsequent to the Federation, the Initiative was founded by the same pair of brothers and remains an independent, militaristic faction whos interest aligns with the Federation.

The Scrapper Guild
A rapidly growing recycling group who scavenge and rip old technology apart, reverse engineering it for the purpose of mitigating the dangers of living in an anomaly ridden world.

Blackshore
Dangerous and unruly. The Blackshore divisions work to forcibly evolve a humanity favoring reclamation of Earth. Their ruthless underground experiments have them running dozens of underground facilities entirely dedicated to genetic and exotic matter manipulation to create super powered subjects. Their morals ended a while ago, but are displayed blatantly enough with the experimentation favoring non-humans proving their ideology being set on human-racial superiority.

More factions exist, rising from the tribes of people coming together as they emerge from small survival pockets or refugees from former Kah'Rul controlled enslavement work force cities.

Summary

New Horizon is a fictional world lore created by and based on writings by DeliriousJax. It is a future Scifi scenario in which Earth had reached a luxurious, seemingly utopian age and had begun settling colonies and outposts in the outermost reaches of the Solar system. The moment they had settled on Pluto, the solar system was invaded by alien conquerors called the Kah'Rul, sparking a multi-generational war as mankind was pushed back to Earth stage by stage. In the mix, an alien slave race called the Dasarin who lost their home-world long ago, now share Earth as newly freed or free born from previous generations of the war; fighting alongside the remaining Human culture.
